In Years 7 and 8, all students are required to complete at least 100 hours of music. The subject is then offered as an elective for Years 9 and 10 for students who wish to extend their musical experiences and learning. We offer all three music courses:
Great care and time is given to individualising the course to best suit each student. As a result, the HSC Music results for many years have consistently been outstanding. Students are proud of their accomplishments which reflect their commitment and motivation. Students and staff share a special bond. Students are encouraged to be involved in some of the many ensembles on offer. They are given frequent opportunities to perform as soloists and in ensembles - both in class and in concert situations. Presently we have six ex students studying music at the tertiary level which continues this fine tradition. |
